Update info

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

the bad part
is the Brits tried to sink it

make the book for the biggest non Nuke going off !!!!!

didn't work

I've seen the bomb craters made by british bombs on Helgoland. Believe me, with enough effort put in, they could have "sunk" this poor small island.

I just have to ask this:-

Old Listing New Listing
52 Dutch 51 Dutch
24 S.af 18 SA
175 Ro 81 rom

Why the lower values for the new listing?

well the Romy is easy to explain

all the Croats and Bulgrian pilots were using Romy as there nation, but we now have a Coax listing, so they are using that instead, which works well, as they now get there own replacement levels and do not have to take pilots from the Romy

of course the others are even easier to explain

mistakes and doubles

a lot of CW pilots flew for a number of different squadrons during there carreer, I find sources saying that so and so flew for this unit in aug of 43, so I place him there, seeing he is not in that squadron, then during the checks, find out that this pilot is someplace else

there was a Nor Pilot, who ended the war flying a Fightfighter, and was placed in a NF unit, but for most of 43 and half of 44, he was flying Spits, I took him out of the Night Fighter and into his Spit

in fact, there is one pilot I am hunting down, he is in 3 Squadrons (I didn't add him)

Svein Heglund?

Don't forget Tarald Weisteen? He was flying with 85 Sqn as of 17Aug43 (joined unit Jul43)

Both are on the list, hope you are finding it useful.

Looking at your list of new / back in aircraft, you include the SAI 207. I believe that 13 pre-production aitcraft were produced. the production order for it (2,000 machines) was superceeded by one for 3,000 SAI 403 but tooling has only just reached the initial stages when the armistice interrupted proceedings. The prototype flew in late '42 which makes it more legitimate to have that fighter producing than the G56, whose first prototype only flew in March '44

Another candidate for possible Italian production would be the MC205N Orione. The MC205N1 first flew in November '42 and the MN205N2 first flew in May '43, again making it in theory more produceable than the G56.

The CV F 5 - 14 pre-production machines in 1940 I believe. The CV F6M had the  Fiat produced DB605A, but pre-production was in '43 under way for the CV F6MZ using the Isotta-Fraschini Zeta, but again only a pre-production batch was being built when the armistice happened.

If we are going back as far as the CV F 5, why not the CR42? Indeed, in fantasy land the CR42B with the DB601. 323mph no less!

For the Hungarians you could have both the Re2000 and the locally built version, the Hejja. The latter actually I believe was once engaged in combat with the USAAF, I think in '44.

I would like to add the 403, if it lived up to the tests results, that could of been a interesting plane, these are some of the only (Light) planes that really seemed to work the way it was hoped, the Avia also looked like it could of been interesting, if it had been allowed to be developed

the G.56 is not "in" but it may be reseached

the 42 ? , well, I not sure if it is worth adding in a night fighter that pretty much is slower then the bombers it is going to be hunting

I like the 205, but I think the odds are the 55 or 2005 are going to be the ones the Player will go after, if they go after any It Models to keep in production

I had ideas on the Hun fighter, but the AI does not like it :)

Welllllll

the first one is the nation

the numbers are the number of pilots in the game for that nation

so like French, we are up to 389 pilots flying for the French Squadrons

(now a Frenchmen flying in a US or RAF Squadron, would show up as US or GB)

I'm not sure to understand everything but it seems that you have no belgian pilot at all?
If it's technically possible to include them, just tell me what infos you need and i'll do my best to help.
