E3 Booth Babes

Post by Dan Verssen »

Hello All,

I went to the E3 computer show yesterday and I've posted pictures of interest on the DVG site, along with a mini E3 review. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: My primary focus of the show is the Booth Babes, you can probably figure out what the pictures are of... :)

Thanks for sharing the pix, I've never been to such a show and I am shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, that game publishers are using tawdry sexual fantasies and booth babes to sell their tawdry sexual fantasy games. [:D][:D][:D]

Thank God that MATRIX would never sink to such levels...

I like the fixed, pornographer grin. [:D] I don't blame you at all. Should have seen my brother's photos from the Tokyo Motor Show [:'(]. Hooley Dooley.

A decision that ranks right up there with Hooters suddenly deciding they are a family restaurant. [&:]

Didn't you hear the news? It's going to be outsourced next year... probably to China and India and to an obscure island in Micronesia somewhere in the South Pacific (Saipan?). Production costs will be considerably lower, thus justifying the move to the overseas production centers.

A recent CNN report on infant mortality rates rated the US at near 3rd world levels so quality wise, we won't notice the difference.

Well, I took a look to see what all the furor was about. All I can say is "Geez o' Pete, y'all haven't been to the beach in South Florida recently have you?" Those young ladies are positively demure compared to that! They have ladies selling hot dogs wearing thongs down there.

Egads! You had Mogami at GenCon last year.....that is like a reverse booth babe....
Sing to the tune of "Man on the Flying Trapeze"
..Oh! We fly o'er the treetops with inches to spare,
There's smoke in the cockpit and gray in my hair.
The tracers look fine as a strafin' we go.
But, brother, we're TOO God damn low...

Well, there wouldn't be much point wearing thongs UP there.

Not sure if your tongue was in cheek. "Down there" meant Florida. (A geographical location, to the south of the speaker, is sometimes referred to as "down there". As in "The Land Down Under".)

Not the fact that the lady in question was wearing thongs covering her lower anatomy...

Speaking of The Land Down Under, what other people refer to as flip-flops, we Australians have always referred to as thongs. I guess it's because of the way the vertical attachment to the y shaped thingamegig slips between one's big and second toes. The (footwear) thong is such an Australian cultural icon that this word has great significance and unlike some of our others, is unlikely to be Americanized or substituted. The underwear form of thong is usually referred to as a g-string.

It causes great confusion for tourists though. Outside pubs, in an effort to insist on decent footwear, there is often a sign saying "No thongs" which can cause consternation among young, female patrons from overseas.

No doubt there are helpful locals standing by willing to help them remove their thongs?[;)]

But that is not a uniquely Australian phenomenon.

Thongs are sold in XXXL sizes and for men, I wouldn't rank them as great step forward for beachwear ;)

And Aussies in the US are a bit surprised that the cheerleaders freely admit they root for their team. [;)]
