Radioactive subs example for Sneer

Post by Ron Saueracker »

Here is the latest turn in my game. Notice all the sub sightings, many the same sub being sighted over and over and over and over and over and over yet a massive TF like KB was sighted once. Again, latest Beta 1.795. Enough said...this needs to be addressed.

Replay went on for awhile, that's for sure. Spent about ten minutes moving the subs next turn to lower their DL but I fear it is for not, as these subs stationed in this area have not fired a torpedo in 4 months...they are always detected first or do nothing.

A/C on search Bill would have to answer but KB appeared later on the map 3 hexes NE of Palmyra. You are basically looking at approx 2 dozen float planes.

I'm almost in 7/42 and never had anything similar
maybe we are too passive and try to use subs out of naval search planes ?

"out of naval search planes"

Range you mean? That would pretty much negate much of the map! [X(] You using 1.795?

Ever played in '44 as the Allies? Between AM and PM air ops it really does take about 10 minutes to get through all the sub sightings.[>:]

yes that sucks![:@] If a sub is in range of my recons it gets spotted! The new ASW model is great but the air search sucks now like never before. Not that it´s just very unrealistic, it´s really annoying if you have to wait for 5 to 10 minutes, not to mention that it could happen that you oversee a real important sighting. Did I say that this sucks?

I agree completly with Ron and hope that this gets fixed with the next patch. Can´t be that hard.

Over 18000 hours of programming went into installing the new spot-the-sub features, so it might take a while to get out...[:'(]

EDIT - i am joking, i hope you realize. However, who knows how long it could actually take to fix?

I use the time to catch up on my reading. Must've finished three novels since the Air-ASW routine got silly.
