80+ Units/Weapons

Post by New York Jets »

Could someone actually post a listing of all pof the weapons/units available.

I used to play WWII Online a couple of years ago and was disappointed by the selection.

I think there is some "welcome back old timers" promotion going on where you can play for 30 days free if you've had an account there within a certain time. Easier to go look, but if that isn't possible, I can start to make a list, but not tonight.

Thank you very much. It looks great. Alot better than before. I just have a couple of questions.

What does "RDP'd" mean?

Is there a plan in place to introduce the Americans or are they just gonna keep having American units in the French Army?

New equipment and variations of existing needs to be Researched/Developed and Produced in factories which can be destroyed by strategic bombers.

With TOEs and brigade spawning there has been work of making the RDP system better and adding radars to the game to make it easier to intercept of bombers.
Is there a plan in place to introduce the Americans or are they just gonna keep having American units in the French Army?

With TOEs they could add american brigades to the game but I doubt theyll do it before north africa and that is still atleast year away.

Chris... American units wont be introduced till North Africa from all accounts I've read. The game as it sits is based upon historical units from 1939 - 1942 and American units came into play after this. The scenario (I read this somewhere in Playnet material) is really whether the axis forces will run allied forces into the sea as they did at Dunkirk (so American forces were not a part of the picture yet) ... we generally have less supply at the start and can only increase supply by capturing cities and their accompanying production factories.

The reason for the US equipment for the french is also more or less historically correct to the extent most of it was on order before the french capitulation. The high commands of each country decide on what equipment will be "developed" and produced by the factories. Strategic bombing reduces the factories production levels as does capturing the factory cities. What makes this all so great is it is all done by players. Our leaders are players, players fly the bombers, fighter escorts and capture the cities. We are all organized into ORBATS (Order of Battle. I belong to a squad which is made up of members from two orignal squads the (Virtual)Royal Highland Regiment of Canada (Black Watch) and the 3rd Royal Tank Regiment, hence "the Royals". We are part of the 4th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Division, 1 Corps, British Expeditionary Force, reporting to Allied High Command. Squads, like clans in other games, are something you join, however you can move around the brigades and jump between countries regardless of whuch squad you join. At the moment joining a squad is voluntary but I strongly suggest it as you really get the most fun playing in a team. The only restriction is a 2 hour time delay if you want to go axis after playing allied or visa versa.
