Whats going on? What are your plans? are you going to leave the guys or bring yourself some more supplies? It seems like you need to fast transport with ONLY BB/BC/CA/CL leave destroyers home they just get blown up.
Did your heavy ships take any hard hits or just DDs?
BB/BC/CA can do the job, only problem is that they more likely to hit mines on their way in. DD's cleared alot of mines when I was fast transporting supplies with them. The dutch BB's took heavy hits, I think they now on system damaged of 30. CL are useless against coastal guns.

Ahh the invasion of formosa? Have you checked PH with subs to make sure he hasn't removed troops from PEarl to reinforce his other defenses?
I wish it was possible however Bill have stated he has already moved a number of divisions into Formosa and is prepared for me if I go there. Intel says that there is 17 units still on Pearl but my guess is that its mostly engineering units because ports facilities are going up real fast. I know I be facing an level 9 fort when I try to retake it.

RE: Japanese attack again
hang in there man...why don't you try retaking the southern philippino island? It would be a start, it would annoy him, destroy a few engineering units he has there, and give you an eventual base of operations in the philippines from which to retake the northern island. You have a big advantage: he can't know when you'll be going back to pearl. Try to make sure that it is as early as possible, hopefully before the fight at manilla is completely over. You said right now he probably only has engineering troops, I would think only engineering troops and CD guns. But your navy (as soon as the royal navy gets there!) will far outnumber his. You will get mastery of the seas, however his ground troops will still be hard to dislodge. So what you should do, is get to pearl, BEFORE HE HAS A LOT OF GROUND TROOPS THERE!! Take lahaina first, and then continiue onwards to the main base of pearl. Try to estimate when manilla will fall, and try to set sail for pearl 1-2 days BEFORE it falls. Even if you're not 100% ready, remember, he will be even less ready than you.
ALSO: You have china there... what are your house rules for her? Is she at war with japan? If so, why not try out for korea?
Your easiest target for conquest would be southern philippines, or some of the japanese-held islands.
GOOD LUCK

RE: Japanese attack again
I think Pearl as a primary target is way off, most of my BB's are still pretty damaged. Im sending 4 US divisions and all avalible subs to PI. There isnt any rush to get Pearl, it be nice to have it back in my hands at present its giving the Jap 2000 points.

The long awaited operation to bring in supplies to Manila takes place. On 10/15/22 0307 hrs the first allied transport ships bringing in supplies and allied reinforcements land 60 miles from Manila. Allied commanders know that there a long fight awaits them. They do not plan to dislodge the Japs from Manila but plan to reinforce it and perhaps take southern PI.
Additional comments :- Some people may think that landing in a non-hex base is against the rules, but this has not been discuss in any house rules in the game so its currently a valid strategy.

How it looks
How it looks
Allied forces are heading north to reinforce Manila and south to try recapature Legaspi. However the Japs have landed heavy units at Naga by Sea. Allied commanders know it will be a tough fight.

Congratulations
I have been outfought and i congratulate you. I didn't read anything i just hopped in and posted this. Though with your permission i'd be nice to read it. You can read my AAR now if you want.
I surrendered i was stupid with my military and billy kicked me to the curb. A worthy opponent i highly recommend him. Billy if you want anyone to take up the game and keep playing it with you i'd gladly send your oppt the pw to the file.
And if you want a rematch of course. Though i will always surrender when i know i dont have a prayer.

Japanese Concede
Message from the Japanese Empire
I concede defeat. My total navy was 2 BB 2 BC 3 CA 3 CL and 25 DD's.
My infantry units were smashed. I have no hope of victory. You have beaten me i bow to your tactics.
The version of the campaign we played was the one that was not tweaked. In the new versions it removed alot of INdian units & Chinese units to prevent them from being used to reinforce PI. I'd be up for playing a new version with you as the US or japan. Whichever you wanted. But maybe you playing Japan i'd get a taste of the way its supposed to be done. This was really a learning experience for me and i'm doing thinngs alot more differently in my other games.
It's not sour grapes or anything its basically that i know i was defeated and i tried hard to bluff you away from invading PI but that didnt work LOL.
Any new games though I will make house rules about no Amphib landings on none base hexes. No subs in enemy ports. And again only US/Japan until and IF PH falls.
Well fought. Hopefully we can have a rematch sometime. I know its a long war but i dont get any new capital ships. I don't mind fighting a 4 year war if there is still doubt in my mind that i have a chance to win. But i had so thoroughly destroyed my units it was crazy. When you left PH i had only 250 AP worth of units if you had bothered to attack me you would have seen how freaking weak i was LOL. Thank god i bluffed you into not attacking.

The War Ends
The War Ends
Like all thing, this game has came to an end. A very good game against an aggresive opponent. Thanks for the game Bill!I also like to thank those that read this AAR and made some comments, it makes writting an AAR more fun because u know that people are reading and enjoying it. One of my friends told me that just reading this AAR and the fight for Pearl made him want to buy WPO and he did so. Well it was all fun and as Jwilkerson said, the fight sounded like a cliffhanger [:D]
Well chestypuller wont be happy now [;)], but dont worry I starting a new game plus making an AAR as the Japs, hopefully soon.
