A 3D interface to the planet

Post by Rooster »

BenPark found this site and posted it on some other message board - it is the most awesome thing... below is the coast line of Crete. You can zoom in, spin the view, and even angle the view. This is a huge benefit for future maps and scenarios...

Hey Dave, where's your pool? Or do you steal into your neighbor's pool when they are on vacation? [:'(]
Ah, well, since you do not wish death, then how about a rubber chicken?

Isn't it awesome? Be sure to check the "keyhole BBS User" box at left-lots of crazy useless/useful info. I spent a few days watching Ken Burns documentary series "The West", and following the Donner Party route in 3d.

How do you think I could afford a pool? But don't worry Bil I'll dig a whole for you when you come over to visit. Though it's problematic as to whether we'll have the water to fill it given the current water restrictions. Make sure to bring your rubber duckey! [;)]

Make sure to bring your rubber, duckey!

OMG! That means something completely different this side of the world [;)]

Can you believe we're soon to have water restrictions too; yes, in the UK [8|]

Hey CriticalMass, stop misquoting me. There was no comma after rubber. <G> [;)]

Are you serious about water restrictions in the UK? Where in particular?

Wow! Unbelievable. Thanks a lot for the site. I just spent about an hour looking at the Nepal-China border. Truly amazing.

Cheers

This is just the free version... but I'm so hooked I'm thinking about dropping $20 for higher res and some other features.

Arjuna - Never a doubt in the maps... just wasn't sure if there was a lot of erosion since 1941 [;)]

Erosion - good one [:D] - filing this for away for the next time someone complains about map inaccuracies.
