Overstacking in Melee

Post by Hailstone »

Peter, my two German squads fired into a Melee stack of two German squads vs one Russian squad resulting in the two German squads breaking.
Then, in the Advanced phase I was able to move the two German squads that shot into the Melee stack of the two broken German squads and the
Russian squad that were locked in Melee. Now I have a stack of 4 German squads (2 good and 2 broken) and the Russian squad. When CC was resolved
the two broken German squads survived with the two good order squads leaving a stack of 4 German squads! I was able to move the two broken
German squads in the Rout phase to an adjacent German leader to rally. Looks like stacking limits do not apply in Melee.

stacking limited is applied at all the time, it doesn't matter what segment. Do you have a saved game ?

just checking the stacking rules .
1 leader and 3 squads ?.
Have no saved games , but pretty sure I have come across this before .
Do 2 half squads count as 1 unit ? or counted as individual units ?

Stacking: The game allows 3 squads (or 6 half-squads, 1 squad = 2 half-squads), 4 leaders and 1 AFV per hex. (Crew = Half-Squad in terms of size)

Peter, I do have during and after saves but I don't know how to upload. Tried copying and pasting onto the post but all I get is a red circle with a line going across.[:(]

Just tried moving my zip file onto the body of a new post and that didn't work then tried copy/paste and still didn't work. Maybe its a setting or something like that. I don't see any indicator to allow for uploading files.[&:]

Click on post reply and then on "click here to upload ", then just choose your file through the new window and it should be okay.

Hey Peter, here's my saved zip file of the over-stack situation in hex 8,17. There is 1 Russian squad stacked with 4 German squads (2 good order and 2 broken).
