New contacts poping-up endlessly

New contacts poping-up endlessly
... and not showing up on the map.
Eachtime I click on "close and resume" a new contact pops-up and nothing on the map.
It started with SKUNK #50 (or so...) after I sunk an enemy ship.
Looks like I catched an endless loop.

Sorry. I tried but (again) this is a case where the saved game is part of a DLC which I do not have permission to view.
Devs: is there a workaround for this? For example, is there a way that we could view .save files for xx minutes before the licensing checks get in the way?

This issue was reported when SS came out. Seems to still be there. I was just playing that scenario last night and noticed it .. Doesn't have anything to do with the new contact list It was doing it before that

Just press play and it happens? Which side?
Could it also be something related to the way you have configured the game? Could you send me your Command.ini file as well?

As I remember, it starts doing this at some random time and then the message log fills with contact reports incremented by one each time - thousands of them.

UK side.
I have a message pop up when new contacts are detected. Do you have this "message popup" option activated in the message log options ? No idea if it is linked.
I never had the problem before SS.

It never happen before on any other scenario. I currently playing again the scenario and so far no problem.

I have only seen it happen on Shifting Sands first scenario, and nowhere else. I've played probably 15 scenarios since that earlier report with no issues.
I'd have to do it again to be absolutely sure, but it seems like it may have started around the time that one of those Black Swan FF's gets badly damaged and loses contact with the group. (the one to the NW in the formation of 3). Don't know if that helps point somewhere or is just a coincidence.

This is an old problem with NOCOMM units. They will keep reporting contacts over and over again and there's no way to turn it off and it slowly drives you insane.

Testing this now in v1.14 and it doesn;t seem to be happening anymore. Can you please confirm?

It's not a definitive proof or even a valid test but last time I payed the scenario, and it was 1.14, I didn't have the problem. But the problem was with beta 1.14 ... so i don't know if some significant changes occurred between the beta and the release.

This still seems to be happening. Royal Sovereign is NOCOMM (along with one of the Black Swan FF's), and at some point after it became that way, Royal Sovereign started reporting endless contacts. I stopped it at about 100 contacts and here is the save at that point. Just press RUN and you'll see a continuous stream of contact in the message window.
