I created a crash

Post by Ormand »

Vic,

So, I have been working hard on completing the new graphics, and v2.15 does seem to solve the previous crash that occurred while adding terrains, etc. I now have all the new terrains in as well as a few new units, and have things almost ready for a serious test with a large game. The new graphics so make for a large masterfile ~ 202MB.

The problem: Well, when I go to edit "Combat Landscape Mods" item under the SFT slot, I get a crash. This does not happen with any other masterfiles, just the one I created. I am not sure what it is that I have done, as the terrains look OK and seem to have all the data. I also didn't really move any around, although, I did replace some of the "broders" terrains with wooded mountains (this way they could easily be put into the random map generator). Generally, as I created new terrains, I mostly cloned them, but I might have occasionally made a virgin terrain. At any rate, here is the error message. Perhaps it can give you a hint to tell me what to fix.

Erich

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

No, that didn't seem to work.

But, I think you will also need the graphics files as well, right? I can zip them up for normal size, but it is big (29MB), so I am not sure what the best logistics would be. If you want I can post it on the web site in the allowed 10MB chunks. But, I'll have to do that tonight around 9:00 PM PDT.
