Buy 5 DVD-Rs from different well-rated types and record it, also, put it on your external HDD and pendrive.

AFAIK it's just an installation file so you can use normal DVD-recording/copying file to disk procedures. Just remember to record a text file with invoice/serial number with the backup.
They don't have any online activations and stuff like that.

I save all my install files on two separate usb drives. Its cheap and reliable. Plus the pc hard drive of course.
No problem Chief!

Save it to a folder on the hard drive.

Save to another folder on your external hard drive.

Burn to a CD and label it.

Also copy and keep the key that came with the game to a text file and keep it with the hard drive/CD/external hard drive

In my opinion why don't you just buy the CD version? Ok, it costs a bit extra but you have a physical copy in your possession for all time.
Digital downloads are great for getting your hands on the game quickly, but what if Plimus goes bust, or Matrix change suppliers again?

Look what happened to some guys with Digital River.
There are just too many things that could go wrong further down the track.

By the way, are you getting WitP AE?

I hope so, its so much better than the original.

For anyone who bought from Digital River we provide download links if DR are not allowing them to re-download.
