Coy level Stalingrad?

Post by wodin »

Could this game do a coy level Stalingrad city fighting scenario? Lets say three different scenarios one for the North, then center and finally the South?

If so can you add leaders aswell?

Yep very doable. In the next patch there will be both Staff and Officers.
Lots and lots of work though. Have you taken a look at the Decisive Campaign series? Fall Blau?

No I think the scale is higher than coy though isn't it? I want say around 350 to 500 meters a hex. DC series is around 10km a hex..which means Stalingrad would only be about three hexes big.

If you check out the SSG Battlefront forum ans see the user made Stalingrad scenario thats the kind of scale I'm looking at.

Problem is LOS at that scale. This game has no LOS component. Grymme had begun working on a 600m hex scale version of the old board game based around operation market garden. Didn't get finished unfortunately. He was straining the lower limit of scale with ATG IMHO.

History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

Don't give up!

How far was line of sight at Stalingrad in real life?

If it was universally short then your idea will still work.
