Realistic tank battle

Post by SkullKid »

Hello all.

So... say I want to create/simulate a realistic tank battle between these two legendary monsters of metal. I can hopefully guess the answer: Check the manual.

EDIT: I'm sorry... this topic seems... now when I look at it, sort of weird. I hereby request a moderator or administrator close this topic.

Skull Kid,

Weird is good. Sort of weird is also good.

Best wishes,
Steve

Schwede,

TOAW is not designed to recreate tactical battles; the closest scenario where you can test and see how large Panzer and Armoured units clash is Kursk '43. Again, if you want to test and experience how 50 King Tigers fare against JS-II, get SPWW2 and/or SPWAW *see picture*

Herr Oberst,

This is quite true but a simple "case study" scenario with 2000 - 4000 tanks apiece could be quite good fun. Have plenty of supply, plenty of replacements, large enough map for movement, large number of turns. Not serious. Just fun.

Best wishes,
Steve

Schwede,

try the free version first; though I can recommend the CD version, too.

Drop me a line when I am back from Tyrol and I can guide you through your beloved tank battles.

re: SPWW2 CD- I highly recommend it. Nice WIN graphics, and has an active following- recently upgraded, with additional scenarios and campaigns. Caution: can be quite addicting, take only as directed.
cheers
