Restricted Supply Grand Campaign Mod

Post by doomtrader »

MOD is based on the Grand Campaign.

This mod changes how does the supply level affects the reinforcements.

Units can be reinforced only if the supply level is above 25.

To play the mod, unzip the folder to /data/scenarios/ subfolder and launch the game.
You should see 1939 GC Restricted Supply campaign.

It is not a problem to include this campaign into the patch

I tried it, but it is very difficult to have 25 supply level in Africa, so no possible to regenerate, I don't know, but maybe you should decrease a little the limit, or have multiple supply level options (ie : above 25 = 100% reinforcement, 25-20 = 75%, etc.). Just an idea...

I'm completely against this change as there are many areas where units can not reinforce.

It will make the AI worse. The AI will not retreat to reinforce.

Players do not need any more advantages against the AI.

I'm using it, but I gave units in the 20-25 range of supply the possibility to reinforce up to 20% of their strength.
I think the behaviour for North Africa units is historically correct; to reinforce you'll have to organize convoys and raise the supply level of some city (bengazi?) into the 20-30 level.

For sure this will cripple the AI a little bit, but lets wait for some feedback.

You're right, but fortunately MP works rather well in TOF, so the scenario should be quite useful.

I respect your opinion, but you must admit that it seems that some players think it should be modified. Maybe an option like "advanced supply" to chose in the next patch, or possible to set the level of supply we want (please, it is just suggestions, don't be agressive)
