Any chance of getting airborne artillery ?

Post by PKH »

I've read the germans had lightweight airborne artillery early in the war. Any chance of adding those ?

That is probably where I saw it. Nice to see they're probably going to add that.

There are no plans to add it. It would effect balance too much, especially against the AI.

How about airborne Tiger tanks? Basically pick up your battlegroup and fly behind the enemy lines. That would make the scenarios quick! [:D]

How about you go airborne by jumping off a cliff ? Airborne artillery was actually used, and would add more options for the player. If you can't see that, that's your problem.

Btw, you can get much the same effect by capturing cities with paratroopers, and buy or place reserve artillery there. This is very useful in f.ex. in the Moscow or Stalingrad scenarios. Having airborne artillery would only save a turn or two. If airborne artillery would make the game unbalanced, it already is.
