Graphics issues, unable to play the game

Post by ivanov »

I don't get the full screen, which is disappointing, but apparently it's a common issue ( my resolution is 1366 x 768 ). Appart from this, when I minimise the game window I got this:

In game, the control panel is partially covered by the message bar:

Apart from this, after I start the game, I have to wait about two minutes, before the menu buttons become responsive.

All in all, this has been the most frustrating experience, I've had with a game in years. I have the Steam version.

No, I've tried both things and they don't help.

Try switching to the old control panel. See post #33 in this thread:

This indeed fixed the issue of message bar covering the control panel. Thank you! So basically, the problem is, that the game is not optimised for my screen resolution?

Since we're talking about the game functionality, is there a way of deselecting a unit?

A unit always has to be selected. You cannot have a state in which no unit is selected.

To make things the UI smaller:

In the "Opart 4 Fonts.ini" file, look for this:

[Scaling]
Graphics=1.00

Try values under 1.

Thank you. That solved the panel covering the info bar, when I set it to 0.7.
