Lesson of the day

OK kids, so here is our first lesson – brave but not foolhardy

Only the brave can aspire to the laurel wreath at the end of the race. It’s not because your chariot is broken that you have to leave the race as a coward! Just hold the reins firmly, bleed if necessary and take the pain until the finish line!

Here we have an example of a courageous charioteer. He’s in the final lap of the race - without his chariot since the last curve - dragged by his horses with his stomach rubbing the smooth sand of the arena. But he does not surrender because he knows that if he holds the reins for the next 150 meters, he will be a champion, loved by most of the women of the Empire!

And it’s not his small cut in his carotid that would stop him. He resists against the final counterattack of his last opponent…

And crosses the line at the first place! Wow, this time bravery has been a decisive asset! [;)]

But without cleverness and lucidity, bravery is useless. So please, remember that hard-boiled drivers can probably make a lap without any chariot but not the entire race…

So if you have an accident at the very first curve of the race, please do not try to be a hero.

Because you will cover the entire circus with your blood – which is very disrespectful for the cleaning team

And not be able to finish the race in a single piece.

This is an epic fail, isn’t it? So that was the lesson of a day. Next time we’ll tackle the Circus Highway Code and its multiple interpretations.

Good bye and stay safe!

I hate it when you're guy is getting dragged, with no chance of finishing, but you can't let go because other chariots will run you down. Damned if you do,damned if you don't!
The other one is when you are stunned and you can't give the order to release the reigns, and you drag till dead!
