An ambitious project that I hope meets it's goal.

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.

I have had the privilege of FiFi flying over my house a few times a couple of summers ago. I did have the opportunity for a ride, but the price of a ride in the nose was prohibitive. FiFI is sick right now with a bad engine so I don't know if she will be at the local air show this summer. These are not original engines so the might ba a tad easier to fix than origina troublesome engines Will have to get down and see her in person

The story said it's the only restorable airframe left....I think this one would fly:

Fifi is back from the engine problem that grounded her, still costs beaucoup dollars to run & maintain it. I'm surprised it only costs that much for a ride as I thought it'd be more.

Saw Fifi at Deer Valley Airport, AZ, last week. She is definitely flying (as PaxMondo noted). The only slot left was a bombardier ride for $1495 if I remember correctly. Was great to walk in the forward area, and also to squeeze through most of their B-17.

EDIT: In defense of their pricing, the guy there said it costs $10,000 an hour to fly.

Cheers,
CC
