Can't build sapper regts

In a GC41 PBEM game tho' I can in my other GC41 games. They are missing from SU build menu.

No, I am not playing Pelton, though my opponent says he's taken advice from him(). My opponent seems to be as/even less IT literate than me so no funny reprogramming business at either end.

Saves available

Since writing the above my fellow Soviet player Belphegor says he can't build them either tho' he too can in all his other games.

This happened to me at some stage in 41 as well. But they come back eventually. I think it might just be a short gap between when one type is discontinued and when a newer type comes on line.

Type 41b is available Turn 8 & onwards.

There is at least one turn when they cannot be built (I wish I had written it down). There is also at least one turn when tank battalions cant be built (this is not the same turn). No idea why- since I was able to build the stuff the next turn, never worried about it.

Some time ago, the becomes-available-date of the 41b type sapper Reg & Bat were changed from 7/41 to 8/41.

Combined with a date bug (7/31/41 is not in July), this led to that in Turn 7 there are no sappers available to build.

I've filed a bug, but it is low prio.
