Waaay off topic but non artist needs assistance from the talented...

Post by Ron Saueracker »

Hey all. Not had much time to hang around since returning from Greece. Hopefully that changes and I can get a PBEM going. Anyway...I don't have much experience yet with art oriented programs and I'm in need of a cool looking 8 1/2 x 11 poster for a bowling night I'm organizing and immediately thought about you amazing lot. Any chance I could get some help?

Looking for a cool retro fifties rockabilly look like on old concert flyers with some campiness...bowling pinups from Elvgren as a backdrp for example. Like to call it "Rumble In The Alley" or "Sin Alley". Also like to include "Bowling with balls" as a tagline. [;)]

Other info on it...

Thursday Nights
West Park Bowling Lanes
8PM to close

Thanks and have fun with it if you choose to help out an old Griper Fanboy!

Oh....any suggestions for programs I can start learning art oriented tasks with? Freeware for starters.

Thanks for your time guys!

Ron

Hi Ron,

I've got nothing for you in terms of artwork recommendations. Just a quick 'hello' and it's good to see you around again. [8D]

You can begin with GIMP, but it will skew you for anything commercial later [:D]
