M-21 Morter Halftrack

Close Combat: Panthers in the Fog is the first new release (not a re-make of a previous games) in years in the critically acclaimed Close Combat series. It details the desperate German counter-attack at Mortain, the last chance of the Wehrmacht to stave off defeat in Normandy. Can you match the tenacity of the American defenders of Hill 314? Or can you succeed where the Panzers failed, driving through to the sea and changing history? Improved 32-bit graphics and the ability to control more squads than ever bring the Close Combat engine to a new level.

M-21 Morter Halftrack

Post by slpatgun »

Just a question , why isn't the M-21 ( the US Army 81mm morter Halftrack) included in the unit mix?

Thanks

A great question to our Mod Corps

Maybe a list of other vehicles/units on the Christmas list?
I'll start:

- Sherman M4A3 flame tank

The game limits itself to company-level mortars as 'on map' units.  Battle group 'mortar support' is where your battalion-level mortars are simulated.

Pedantic alert: The M4 Flamethrowing tank didn't make an appearance in NW Europe until fall\late fall of 1944....and even than it was available in only extremely limited numbers -- like 4 or 5 or some such thing. The handful of flame throwing Shermans were employed experimentally against the Siegfried line.
