Cant run da Babes at all (wont start)

Post by Oliver Heindorf »

I copied my witp AE Folder complete to a different location.

Then I downloaded the Map Extension and installed it over the exiting files.

Then I dl'ed Da big babes B and putted the content in the SCEN folder.

After I click on the .exe, I get a fatal error 100.

whats wrong ?

thank you.

Why do you click on the .exe? You should use a shortcut, just like in the primary folder. The shortcut will provide the exe with all the switches that it needs.

Copy the short cut also, then right-click, select 'properties'. Then edit to make it reflect the new folder (you have to edit the lines in BOTH boxes that you will see).

sry, I did not metion that i tried to use the same shortcut option as well.

in other words : exe or the new shortcut with the old options (-sound cpu, etc.) : same error.

Always : "Fatal error 100"

Sorry if I'm just not understanding, but in the shortcut there are two places where you change the folder. The first line is the one that has all the switches, and before the switches is the path where to find the exe (you can't see that part in the pic I'm posting).

The second part is the second line where it says 'start in'.

damn the language barrier. :P

i created, of course a new shortcut to the new exe. then i edited the options switch in line 1 as i have it in my stock shortcut.

still: fatal error 100.

we should maybe know what this means.

it pops up regardless if the game is started using exe or the new shortcut....

maybe i am too dump for this.

but the way to have multiple installs is just copying the folders. done.

applied the map art files.

applied the scen folder files.

run the exe. OR run the exe via new created shortcut with the same option switches the other stock exe has.

bang, fatal error 100

Hello Hello, witpqs,

thank you for your helpful soul being there !

I have just deleted the first attempt and re-installed the da babes like the way I did before - and it works now.

Only god knows hat went wrong because I did it the same way but now it runs :)

Thanks a lot and :BRKILLIANT WORK ! (And brilliant community here as well !)

[:D]

Language barrier stinks, agreed!

Glad you got it sorted.
