Using Windows 8, I had the same problem at first. However, installing the latest beta patch seemed to do the trick. Now it's working fine for me.

Hey, Similar discussions have also had them earlier. Here is the proposal I put in repair again. I apologize again poor English skill of mine.

Compatibility mode for XP (service pack.3). remove the display scaling off (DPI).
In the command line, -deepColor

Colavito1 also wrote one proposal:

-cpu4 -SingleCpuOrders -multiaudio -deepColor -dd_sw -altFont -f -px1600 -py900

These can be found in the discussion of Windows 8 problem.

Any idea if these will work for War Plan Orange as well? It suffers from the same problems.

For anyone who's interested, I just tried it, and the answer to this is yes. WPO runs smoothly in Windows 8 with these settings.

"C:\Matrix\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -f -deepColor -altFont -cpu2 -multiaudio -dd_sw -skipVideo -fixedArt -px1920 -py1080

I never got to make Plan Orange work Full HD...

No, me neither. But by using Jamoksi's settings I am able to get it to work normally in fullscreen on Windows 8 now. It's not HD, but I'm still happy with it.

They're the 'switches' you can use to create the desired effects, e.g. full screen, the display resolution, etc.

Kamerad,

well... Install Mike's Beta and it will create a folder called Beta2. It also creates a shortcut
at your desktop (see previous post). Modify the 'switches' as per desired configuration and voila!
