There is a movie about this guy. "Prisoners of War". Really a strange story.

Poor guy. Did what he had to to survive a turbulent and troubled era. Truly amazing. Apparently he did a lot of surrendering. "Prisoners of War" sounds like an aptly named movie. Many young men were literally prisoners of their time, caught up in global events they had little to do with, with no other option than to face potential extinction at the hands of their leaders.

I really and truly feel for that guy.
After 16 years, Civ II still has me in it's clutches LOL!!!
Now CIV IV has me in it's evil clutches!
