Bug in setting Command Level

Post by fbs »

Steps to reproduce:

(a) Open commander's report
(b) Go to HQ
(c) Click on Support Level on top right
(d) It asks to enter new support level; click X to cancel change

Typically a cancel means you don't you want to do the operation, so expected to keep the current support levels. Instead it resets all support levels to zero.

Thanks

Yes. You must enter a value before closing the window. If possible quick save before making changes.

So what one does if he is listing all 150 HQs, and clicks on "Support Level" by accident? If he clicks on Accept all are reset to zero. If he clicks on Cancel all are reset to zero...

I think it's ok if the developers have bigger fish to fry and won't address this at this time, but certainly doesn't look right. Cancel should cancel, not zero everything.

Thanks,

IIRC, this behavior was noted in one of the patch notes, and is considered to be WAD.

That's pretty weird because I've never known an application to make changes when the user indicates he does not want to make changes. I understand if a bug doesn't get fixed but to say this is working exactly as intended?

Yes, that's the way we use to handle all issues. Claim them as features. [;)]
