Hannibal: Rome & Carthage - Will Matrix Publish?
I see these guys announced getting a publisher.
Did Matrix jump on it? [8D]
Or did someone else beat you to it?

Interesting to see that the demo has been taken down.
Does this mean that they are making significant changes to the game prior to release or maybe it is just a commercial restriction from the new publisher.
Sort of liked the demo when I first downloaded it but thought it lacked somewhat in detail / replayability.

I played the revised demo and wanted more, which is unusual for me. It's certainly no mega-sized game but was very reminiscent of a smaller tabletop game.
It seemed very polished for a little indie one. I suspect the new publisher wanted them to pull the demo until they ran everything through their own testing to double check. I'm just real curious as to whom nabbed it. I suspect this company could well be shooting out some very nice stuff in the future barring any odd drama as seems to happen on occasion.

I just visited Forced March Games' website to download the demo and found this notice instead:
"The demos have been taken down for the time being. They'll be posted again some time after 'Hannibal' is released."

I played the demo, cute little game, but if Matrix charges more than $20 it's not worth it. IMHO[;)]

A pity. I can understand the position often stated here that demos are sometimes more time and trouble to produce than extra sales would justify, but pulling existing demos until 'some time' after release suggests the game rather sucks, at least to me. If it's any good, stick the demo back so we can find out... the reaction of those who did try it seems fairly enthusiastic, after all.

It could also be an indication that the finished product will be different enough that the demo was no longer representative of it.

I'd be surprised to see it over $30. This isn't an established company needing to make up past debts, after all. [:D]
If I had noticed the mystery beta sign-up earlier, and been positive of my "edumacated" guess, I would've volunteered.
I like the graphics. Good to see something new with flavor (not Flava).
