Don't Let It Die!

Post by kam99 »

I hadn’t played PCK for about 6 months, I am waiting for the patch. In that time I have had my 2nd WW fix with Steel Panthers WW2, JT’s Campaign Series, and Squad Battles Eagles Strike. I had also done a bit of Napoleonic gaming (HPS Waterloo and Jena) and Ancients (Field of Glory).

I could get into any of them, and kept switching between them.

This afternoon I launched PCK again, and loaded up the Tutorial. Wow! The close up of the Kfz 251, infantry and Panzer III (all un-modded) just blew me away. I started playing. It was love again, and I realised what a great system this is, and how much potential it still has.

Please don’t let it die!

I've been using that tutorial for testing the new features. You're going to love it. Thanks for hanging in there.

Erik and Mobius will probably kill me ...

But if they do then there won't be a patch!

ROFL!!!!! Ran out of patience did you?

No matter, they are great screen shots....I would think more will come flooding out in the next little while as the patch gets loaded on the train and sent to the Eastern Front to do battle.

Good Hunting.

I can't all the credit. The aircraft models were borrowed from our friends over at Operation Barbarossa. I just re-skinned them and added the crews.

In other words, everything we see in those screen shots is  your work. I think you can take all the credit for what those screen shots look like. A well deserved credit at that.

Stridor is far from without credit for those as well. Without his coding changes there would be no new screen shots for the game.

Kudos to you both.

Good Hunting.

We aren't ready to discuss this publicly yet, but the team is getting a bit too excited to keep the lid on for much longer though. A lot of folks have done a fantastic job on this coming update and in many ways it will be a bigger step forward than Kharkov was from Winterstorm. Suffice it to say there is some great stuff coming and we are getting very close to an official announcement regarding that, at which point we will be ready to discuss in more detail.

Cool.

I appreciate the screenshots, I really do. Screw the usual beta secrecy, it doesn't do any good anyway.

Guess I'll add one of my screen shots to those that beginning to show up.

Here's a shot of everybody's favorite kittie.........

This was taken the last part of March.

See the shadows from the trees and the tank? Nice trees by the way.....

Things have continued to progress since then. Again, this is just an extremely small sample of what Erik is getting ready to let you all see up close and personal.

Good Hunting.

Yes in the configuration screen before the game starts. AA and AF settings.

The screenshot is a jpeg from a bmp probably shrunk a little from a wide screen.

Yes, that's correct. I do have a wide screen.

That shot was taken at an extreme angle. See the shadows to tell the way the tank is sitting on the hillside.

I can confirm that PC:Kharkov works on a Netbook and with settings of High/High and 8 anthrosoptic filtering. I was very surprised.
