unlinking units

Hi -

I playing for the first time on a laptop XP. I have transports and solgers linked with the chain but can seem to unlink them for an amphibous assault. I have tried left clicking, right clicking, and clicking with a dead chicken. Any ideas?

Units have to start the turn on a coastal land tile if you want to amphib with them.
